The IBM cup is a single-elimination tournament for all teams. Matches are played on Tuesdays (for the first 3 weeks) and Thursdays throughout the season. The winner advances to the next round of competition, and the loser is eliminated. Teams can begin scheduling friendly matches after being knocked out from the cup.The revenue from TV and tickets is split between the home and away teams.
